Najib not involved in the Altantuya murder case

At today’s press conference, Abdul Razak Baginda tells a lot, a lot of “facts” that we have already known or expected. The more he says, the more suspicious I'm towards who is involved in Altantuya's murder case.
Now, who is involved if everybody is not? If Abdul Razak was just out there to tell us these, I think he is wasting everybody’s time. He could have just issued a short press statement and express his opinion on who is not involved. He can then fly off to UK to enjoy life.

It is so convenient for Abdul Razak to blame the bloggers and opinion makers in creating a negative impression on the case. Aren't we entitled to our opinion as citizen? Isn’t he himself in the press conference also give his opinion about Najib's non involvement in the murder case?
Abdul Razak seems to forget about the fact that he was trying to give positive opinion on the case. As per what he said, Abdul Razak is trying to create an impression that the two cops were acted on their own. While I'm not insinuating that Najib is involved in the murder case, I would like to know on what basis Abdul Razak knows that Najib is not involved.

The best thing that Abdul Razak should do is to tell us who is involved and solve the puzzle once and for all. If he can, share with us how he feel about his ex-lover being murdered in such a brutal manner and the master mind of the crime have not been brought to justice.
Is Abdul Razak consider lucky because the victim is a Mongolian? I don't think it will be the same story if Altantuya was holding a French or US passport.

Obama Wins , So What?

On 5 November 2008, News papers all over the world were flooded with the news that, Barrack Hussein Obama wins the presidential election. First time in the history of United State, a black man will be the President, President of the world’s richest & most powerful country. Obama did not win with just a simple majority; he wins overwhelmingly, decisively with 43% of the votes come from the white. This is an achievement which is on par with his fellow Democrat, John Kerry in 2004 presidential election. It is unthinkable for a black minority (African-American made up of 13% of total population in the US) to run a country with majority are white, who once had the mindset of white superiority.

Back in our homeland, Malaysia, where races are so distinctly divided, can we expect the same thing happen here? Will we ever see a Chinese or Indian become the PM of the country? I honestly don’t think so, at least for the next 20 years, as long as Umno is in power. Just take a look at what happen lately in our country. Do we seem to head towards a more open minded and tolerance society? The answer is absolutely “No”. Just look at these small issues below and think about it.
  1. The Malays cannot even tolerate that the tiny PKNS’s GM post fall into non bumi’s hand. Not even temporary. Khir Toyo even see this as undermine Malay’s capabilities.
  2. The multi lingual road sign is seen as a threat to the Malay language status in the country. Ironically, the Jawi are commonlly used in all over the country's road sign. Non-malay have no choice but to accept it. Even though we did make noise, who cares about non-malay's view? There is no mutual respect at all.
  3. The important cabinet posts are all controlled by Umno. Can we still imagine we can be assigned the cabinet post of Education Minister, Defence Minister, Finance Minister, Internal Affair Minister, Foreign Minister etc. Is Chinese so incapable of assuming any of the cabinet post above? PM post, forget it if UMNO is still around.
  4. Last month’s Rulers conference, the Sultans are asking the ‘Malaysian’ to respect the social contract. Gabungan Melayu Perak staged a show to submit a memorandum to Sultan Perak to thank the Rulers for their statement during the Rulers conference. The Malay's impression is that the non Malay will take away their entitlement if the non malay is in power. The Malays still do not trust other races.
To me, what happens in the U.S. is still a dream for non Malay in Malaysia. Malaysia is simply not there yet. The Malays are rather to cling on to political power rather than giving them away in exchange for progression in life. UMNO will also won’t let it happen, in the name of pembela nasib orang melayu. This is a tragedy to Malay race and all Malaysian.
